At Leicester Student Lettings we are 100% focused on the health and well-being of our customers, colleagues and communities. We are doing all that we can to ensure we continue to fulfil our obligations to both landlord and tenants alike by following measures to keep you all safe during this pandemic. Please note that this is an evolving situation and as such this is an evolving document. At all times please apply a common-sense approach to everything that you do to keep you safe in and outside of your accommodation
We continue to follow the latest government advice and take our responsibilities regarding COVID-19 very seriously.
Where possible we will be adopting a 1-way traffic zone, i.e. The main entrances will now to be used as the exit only and secondary entrances will be used and entry only. Such measures are not physically possible in all our buildings, and where this is the case we will be installing floor markings to remind you to keep your distance from fellow residence and again, where possible, safe waiting areas so that you can keep clear of oncoming foot traffic.
If you collect your parcels from Leicester Student Lettings offices, please call ahead to confirm we have received your parcel. We kindly ask that you call us when you're outside our office so that we can safely leave your parcel for you in our safe space. Packages will not be handed directly to students.
You will also notice an increased number of visits by our cleaning team, who will be making regular visits to wipe down door handles and handrails in our buildings.
To prevent spread, communal rooms are to be locked until the start of the next academic year (around September 2020).
No congregating in the main reception, lobby or corridors.
Where possible all students should wear face masks when walking through the building.
Due to a recent increase in rubbish bags not being disposed of correctly, anyone caught not disposing their waste inside the bin will be charged £50 per bag, this is to deter people from leaving bags beside bins which then have to be handled by our team.
Lastly if you have a high temperature you should follow government advice and self-isolate for 14 days. If your symptoms get progressively worse, you should call 999. For further information please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus

If you are dropping off documents, we ask you kindly email these over to us or use DocuSign.
If you are dropping off keys please call us on 0116 255 1333 to arrange a contactless appointment for this.
Once we are back up and running, viewings will be conducted in the usual manner, we ask that, to keep all parties safe, you leave you room during the designated viewing time. Our staff member will then wipe down all door handles before they leave your room.

However, be aware that many of our rooms are now booked for next academic year, so where rebooking or extending your room may not be possible, you may have to move to another building/flat.
